15 Prizes will be awarded ranging from $3,500 (First Place) to $50 (Honorable Mention). Prizes DO NOT have to be used for college. You can use the money for anything you want!
The competition is open to male students of color who have completed their junior year in high school and who expect to be seniors graduating in 2012.
- Students must be attending a high school in Georgia.
- We will begin accepting entries in June 2011. Prize winners will be announced in September 2011.
Students must submit the following to enter the competition:
- Your essay answer to "The Question" (the question will be announced once the contest opens), AND
- Your plan to complete a project in your community based on your essay.
